Criminalization in politics : Satyamev Jayate

This is a sad state of affairs that criminals and corrupt people are given tickets and they even manage to win elections. Take a pledge not to vote for any corrupt politician this time.

This episode of Satyamev Jayate was shown on TV few days ago and just two days later it has been revealed in a sting operation by AAJ TAK channel that votes can be bought and people are voting at multiple places by removing their black ink. The chemical which can remove the black ink is being sold for huge sums in the black market.

Wake up people. Vote for honest people this time who will work for the needs of the common man and not for the criminals and corrupt people.

ARVIND KEJRIWAL : ANARCHIST OR FASCIST

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

The political weather in India is very hot these days and people are leaving no stone un-turned to blame each other and bring each other down. In all this chaos the new bee of Indian politics are being targeted the most.

It has been really amusing to see some of these acquisitions though. You may have heard many say on national television that AAP (or Aam Aadmi Party) is fascist and Arvind kejriwal is fascist at the same time they even go on to say Arvind Kejriwal is anarchist. I just wondered how the same man can be anarchist and fascist at the same time.

To explain it better to you, let us understand what these terms mean

Anarchist is a person who tries to abolish the government and the social system based on voluntary mass movement. He is a person who wants to bring disorder and is anti-establishment i.e, against any establishment or institution like government.

Whereas Fascist is a dictatorial person or a person who behaves like a dictator. He is authoritarian who believes in oppressing people right. In order words he wants the total control over the Establishment or Institution like government.

One can easily understand that a person can't be anti-establishment and pro-establishment at the same time. These are totally contradicting terms used to define him. This is how intellectually challenged the people who are opposing him are.

From president terming their way of politics as "populist anarchy" and BJP's  leader of opposition telling Arvind kejriwal to rise above his anarchist attitude for which he says president has given him warning.

Even his comment "I'm anarchist" was bend by media. He said Some people are calling him anarchist but if fighting for people's right is anarchism then he's anarchist.

Some people who called him and AAP anarchist are now the once who have want to fight election on AAP's ticket. The impact is so high that even the harshest critics are changing into true supporters.

What AAP or Arvind kejriwal wants to achieve ?

Top post on IndiBlogger.in, the community of Indian Bloggers

When AAP was formed, the party in its website and through it's mails tried to emphasis on few points which they would like to achieve as a party. Points which will just not improve the Indian system but revolutionize the system functioning. The issues in which they want the change as written below.
(1) wants JANLOKPAL BILL (not the Govt. Lokpal Bill) passed so that the corrupt is sent to jail and looted money is recovered from him or her?

(2) wants ELECTRORAL REFORMS so that the criminals can not contest the elections?

(3) wants JUDICIAL REFORMS so that each and every judge of this country is made accountable and verdict in the cases is pronounced maximum within 3 years?

(4) wants POLICE REFORMS so that the police is made accountable towards the public of this nation and not the Netas (leaders) of ruling party?

(5) wants the BLACK MONEY, stashed abroad and within the country declared as national assets?

(6) and MOST IMPORTANTLY, does he want the C.B.I independent of the government (not only the appointment of CBI director through collegium, but the independence of entire team with no administrative and functional control of Government)?

Who is Arvind Kejriwal?

If you are following current Indian political situation, then you would know that Arvind Kejriwal is one of the most popular faces in Indian politics right now. He is the crusader for anti-graft or anti-corruption movement. He is leading a mass movement which is driven by the common man of India and has successfully dethrone the current government in the recently concluded Delhi elections.

This seems to create a very huge persona of that person but in real life, he just a normal looking man, not very tall with just medium built and wears a plain shirt and trouser. This innocuous looking man has brought a revolution in today's Indian society. Some say that he's normal looks and attire are actually his plus points or USP which makes him acceptable to everyone and people in large masses have been able to connect with him.

So, who actually is this man? Does he have the intellectual capacity to lead India? Why people trust him so much?

Arvind Kejriwal is currently the 7th chief minister of Delhi. He was born in Haryana and was a very bright student. He did his graduation from one of the top most institution in India, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur or IIT kharagpur. IIT kharagpur is just not recognized in India but is among the world's best institute. Graduates who pass from this institute hold the top positions in all the tech giants. Even Facebook hires students from this institute. After graduating
he left his lucrative job in a top firm in India and started to work in the Indian Revenue Service. He served their as a Joint Commissioner. I should point this out that the Indian civil services exam is one of the toughest exam in the country and thousands fill in the form every year.

He achieved everything in life, he was a successful person and had a comfortable life but he decided to leave all of this and he started working towards Right to Information Act or RTI act. He was instrumental in bringing this law into existence. Just one and a half years ago he played a great role in anti-graft movement and which led to the formation of AAM AADMI PARTY (COMMON MAN'S PARTY). People from every part of society joined this party and it won the recently concluded Delhi election in December.2013. There are thousands of people who are still coming forward to join this party everyday even when there is a huge opposition the party is facing from the existing political groups. They want to replicate the success of Delhi election into the national election which is due in few months from now.

For his great work he was rewarded by

  • Ramon Magasaysay Award - Year 2006
  • NDTV Indian of the Year    - Year 2011 (along with Anna Hazare)
  • CNN IBN Indian of the Year - Year 2013
