Sugarfree Suji ka halwa

I have no hesitation in accepting the fact that I am a big foodie. I love my food and being a Bengali I have huge affinity for sweets. I love all kind of sweets from Rasogulla to Gulab jamun. During sundays, I prefer eating something sweet in the morning breakfast. Suji ka halwa is my first preference. It tastes fantastic and can be cooked in minutes. Futher, it doesn't require many ingredients.

First we will have to take a pan and heat Suji in a very low flame. This heating should be done for atleast 10 minutes. I also prefer stirring it while it is getting heated. 

You can understand it has been properly heated when it changes color and try to stir it a bit so that the whole suji gets a uniform color. 

Then we put some ghee on the Suji. It is totally dependent on you how much ghee you want to put. I put around 2-3 spoons of ghee when I am cooking for myself. 

You can put some fried cashews in the pan if you like having them with suji halwa. We have to stir it for few more minutes so that ghee and cashew gets totally mixed.

Then we put Sugarfree Natura and water in the pan and mix them properly so that no lumps are formed. We have to mix it properly and keep it stirring for few more minutes. When it is properly cooked, serve it and enjoy the delicious Sugarfree Suji ka halwa.

My Mother,the backbone of my life

Those who know me personally will tell you that I am not a very upfront person as far as sharing my feelings are concerned. I am really comfortable in talking about every possible thing on this earth but not my feelings. So, to write a post where I have to put my heart out is a bit difficult for me. 

There was period in my life when nothing was working for me. I have left a top IT company job to pursue my own dreams of being an entrepreneur. The venture which I started with my friends saw a really bad phase and my friends gave up on that idea. It was a tragedy. 

In that bad phase, I also met with an accident and I could hardly move out of my bad for few months. That time I was totally shattered. The only thing that I had was that my mother still stood by my side and trusted me. She believed that I would get out of this miserable phase and will bring my life on track again. In that situation when I lost faith in my myself, my mother was the only one who had faith in me and that faith was the only thing that got me going.

Today, with her blessing, I have everything that I require and still see that trust in her eyes that I could do better and even today that is what keeps me going every single day.

I remember that in my childhood she always used to tell me not to give me and always believe in your dreams. She made me confident and believe that everything which we aspire to achieve, can be achieved. If other people can achieve it then you can achieve it too. 

My mother has been the pillar of my life, my backbone. She gave up lots of things in her life, just to provide me a good life. She sacrificed even her basic needs and requirements so that I get what I want. 

I feel she is the person who is actually #madeofgreat. I feel what drives her from within is her soul. She has such a pure heart. She always have a positive outlook and wishes good for people. She is a epitome of love and sacrifice.

Talvar movie brings to you the story of one of the most brutal and talked about murder cases in Indian history. The movie which is written by Vishal Bharadwaj and the way he has put forwarded the points is just fantastic. The movie brings to light each and every aspect of the double murder and in an amazing way put forwards the point of view of every person involved.

The direction of Meghna Gulzar is also really good. At some points where the multiple views of the same incident is depicted is a stand out point for me in the movie. The movie tells you so many things silently and you are not even able to notice it at the first instance. The movie puts a big question mark on our judicial process as well as the crime investigation.

Our society is hardly serious about giving punishment to the criminals. The crime investigation is still in a very bad shape. The movie highlights the lack luster behavior of our police force towards solving a crime. The movie derives it name from the "talvar" which the statue for justice holds. It actually refers to the power the judicial system has to punish the wrong doers.In today's world this "Talvar" has become really important as the crimes in the society are scaling new heights everyday.

The star cast is filled with powerful actors. Irrfan khan is just amazing in the movie. Konkona Sen Sharma and other actors has also played their roles with lots of sincerity. I was actually mesmerized by their performance.  

The movie gives you a lot to think about and at the same time asks lots of question to the people who are running our society and the system. One line which really stayed with me was "ek begunah ko sajah milne se acha hai ki dus gunhe gar chut jaye" 

The movie is like the ocean silent from far but as you go inside you understand the depth and the power. The movie is shout from the society towards all the injustice and all the negatives that are prevalent in the society. I think you will definitely find more than I could express in words.

Customer grievance - I think solving problems of customers and people who avail government services should be of prime importance. If the system to lodge complain is available online then people will be able to get solution really quickly. 

Entertainment and Culture - the entertainment industry will be flourishing as people get alternative medium to reach people. They can reach people through digital medium. Further, for most of the people in our country there is no source of entertainment except movies and television. Hence having digital entertainment will increase the happiness index of our country as well.

Hope the dream of #DigitalIndia becomes accomplished soon.

Mr.Nobody to Mr.Awesome

I always wanted to have friends, talk to people, share my thoughts and feeling but the world is a very competitive place and I am just an ordinary guy with an ordinary life.

Everyday I used to stand in the bus stop and wait for my bus to go to my office. I used to see a beautiful girl standing in-front of me everyday. We are the only two person standing at the bus stop at that point in the morning. You may ask then what's the problem ? The problem is that she doesn't even know that I exist...

The most popular person in the office, doesn't even recognize me. I have talked to him so many times during the office parties but whenever I try to talk to him in the office, he is never able to remember me. It's not his fault, he may be meeting hundreds of people everyday and I don't stand out in any way...

After reaching home, I feel that at-least my brother will be interested in spending time with me but he too is not interested in that. He has his friends and he likes having fun with them. I miss the time when two of us used to spend lots of time together and used to have lots of fun.

After my brother left, I was left with my dog. As they say dogs are man's best friend. I like playing with him but he too gets really bore while playing with me. After few minutes, he will just go to one side if the lawn and sit quietly. If I will call his name, he too gets angry.  :'(  :'(

One day I decided to go to the nearby store for shopping. They keep all kind of stuffs. It's not just girls, everyone likes to shop. Shopping is definitely a good healer.

Nashta with Guptaji's family

It was around one year back when I experienced huge amount of pain in my stomach. I hardly new what was the reason behind that.My parents took me to the doctor where he gave me medicine and told me that I can't skip my breakfast even for a single day. The whole problem was because I skipped my breakfast in the morning.

Though I said yes to the doctor that I would take proper breakfast everyday but it was a tough thing to ask from me as at that point I was working at a place for which I had to leave my home at around 6.30 am in the morning. I had to follow a tough schedule. The travelling time was really high. It was 2 hours each side. So after 8-9 hours of work, I also had to spend 4 hours travelling.  I used to get really tired and hence slept even 15 minutes even after the alarm rang. This left really less time for breakfast. Further, due to such a tough schedule, I health was getting hampered as well and my other meals suffered too.

One thing was sure that I understood the importance of breakfast. Though I had to learn it in a hard way but this knowledge helped me change a lots of things in my life. I started taking my health very seriously and made a promise that I would never skip my breakfast. 

Recently, I came across Guptaji's family. They are a really happy and welcoming people. One of my friend Ashish went to their house for breakfast recently with his family. He was really impressed with the breakfast they served. He told me that they gave him really healthy food.

Since he has joined a gym and works out daily, he really liked the healthy breakfast they offered. After quizzing him for some time, he told me that, they offered him a big bowl of strawberry and banana cornflakes which he really liked. He also asked the recipe which was really simple and hence he started preparing it for himself everyday. 

He also told me that they served Wall-nut cornflakes choco balls to his family. He loves sweets but he controlled himself as he was already having his own bowl of breakfast. All members of his family really feasted upon the food they served. His mother also took recipe's of all the wonderful dishes Guptaji's family prepares.

I really want to go to their house for breakfast. I am following them at many places so that they will see me at some place and would feel like inviting me to their house for the breakfast. I haven't been much successful in getting myself invited till now but the number of tasty breakfast they prepare is tempting me a lot. Maybe I will land up at their door uninvited, that's the only solution I am able to find so that I can enjoy the nashta with Guptaji's family.

Things that make us happy

Do we really have to think about the things that make us happy ? I feel we are either happy or are wishing to be happy. These are the only two state of minds that exist. 

There are many small things that bring happiness to my life. One the most important thing is my blog. When I end up writing a creative post then it gives me immense pleasure. I believe that writing blog is really different from writing a story or writing a diary. In blog, you write for the people who read it. If you get good number of people reading your blog then that means you have been successfully able to connect to them.

When I started writing, blog was just like a creative outlet for me. I used to pour my heart out in my blog. Then I started understanding the people who used to read my blog. I started understanding the divine connection we all share. Maybe these days I don't update my blog that regularly neither do I write that many creative posts but the connections which I made through my blog are still there. I feel that they read my blog for my honesty. 

There are many more small things that makes me happy. I like playing with dogs, so if I get a chance to be around them I love it. I do spend some time with my neighbor's dog everyday. Further I spend time with street dogs as well whenever I could spare  a moment.

I am a learner and learning new things give me lots of pleasure. It can be anything, from banking to astro-physics everything interests me. Some people have told me that my eyes twinkle when I learn something new. I think I have to tell them to capture that moment. :P

Another thing which can make me happy even when I am really sad is good food. I am a foodie and I really enjoy having good food, just the last day I was pestering few of my friends to get married as it has been a long time I have ate in a marriage party. Food is something which I think many people like and having a good food works as a healer. Whenever my mood is down I end up ordering some tasty food. You forget everything when you are having some delicious food.

I feel we all should try to find happiness in small things as these small happy moments combine together to make our life really amazing. If you are thinking where to start just start by smiling at people whom you meet, it will definitely cheer you up. Talk to people who love you, spend some of your time talking to your family and relatives. I hope you find happiness and spread some in the world.

Dry baby, Happy baby

It is a holiday and my baby comes to know about it when she sees me sitting in-front of her in the morning. She gets really excited because she knows that this day is reserved for her games and entertainment.

The first thing which we do in the morning is clean her and freshen her up. Morning is the time when all of us feel excited but she is only in her first gear. She starts with throwing tantrums that she want to come into my lap and then she want to go outside. No, she hasn't started talking properly except a few words but she can make you understand everything. She knows who to convey her wishes. She is a really clever soul. :-)

As the day progresses she starts changing her gears and comes into her devilish form, she won't eat anything till I don't do something funny to make her laugh. It's not that she will become happy after one performance, she want to see a performance from me after every bite she takes and it's not that you can repeat your performance. You have to do something new every time to make her laugh or she won't get pleased.

After many performances she completes her food but then she won't sleep, it's time for her to start running and make us run around. We fear that she doesn't fall, hence we keep running behind her or with her. don't know from where does she gets all the energy. After running around she will play with toys and we will have to play with her too. 

After all the fun, it's time for her to take a nap but she won't sleep till both of us (me and her mom) are sitting next to her. She will keep looking at both of us with her big dreamy eyes. After lots of permutations we found out that she sleeps the quickest when we sing her songs. She will hear some 5-10 songs from both of us and then only she will fall asleep. It is like a battle that we fight and when she sleeps the battle is won but only for the time being, i.e., till she wakes up again.

The day becomes so much settled and organized because she wears pampers baby dry pants. we don't have to worry much about her being dry when she is playing the whole day and more importantly she can have a very peaceful sleep when she sleeping. It will become a really hard task to make her sleep again if she wakes up in the middle of her sleep. Thanks to the pampers dry baby pants we can also have some time to rest before she wakes up. It is such a wonderful thing that I have also recommended it to all my friends.
